The Kit also includes the Rode Dead Cat Wind Muff, which is a zip-on furry cover with deep artificial fur that fits snugly over the NTG-1 and NTG-2 microphones. When used in combination with the VideoMic, the Dead Cat Wind Muff greatly reduces wind noise when recording in windy conditions.
