The Sony ECM-SST1 Compact Stereo Microphone improves the in-camera audio capture of the α (Alpha) Series NEX-3 and NEX-5 cameras. A switch for 90° and 120° pickup patterns allows you to adjust the directionality of the microphone. The ECM-SST1 connects and locks to the Smart Accessory Terminal on the NEX-5 and NEX-3.

  • Directivity of the microphone is selectable between 90° and 120°
  • Compact and lightweight at only 1.5 oz
  • Microphone draws power from the camera body, so no batteries are needed
